This collection was originally designed for embroidering on pants but the designs are so versatile, they’ll look great on a variety of items. The corner design, #AD-er009, works well on a placemat and design #AD-er008 adds just the right touch to the coordinating napkin.

Flip the Perfect Placement Napkin template over to its wrong side to accommodate the left corner of the placemat.Place the template on the bottom left corner of the placemat. Slide the AD-er009 template under the Napkin template, aligning the outer edges of the design with the marks on the template.
Slide a target sticker under the design template and align the crosshairs. Remove the templates.

Hoop tear-away stabilizer in a 5″ x 7″ size hoop. Insert the Magna-Hoop metal frame.Align the bottom left corner of the placemat with the bottom left inside corner of the metal frame. Cover with the Large Rectangular acrylic frame and snap the magnets in place.
To double check your placement and clearance with the acrylic frame, lay the design template back onto the mat matching the center point with the target sticker. Adjust if necessary.

Loosely roll the right side of the placemat to the edge of the frame and secure with a pin or paperclip on each side. Since the right side of the mat will fall under the arm of the machine, this will allow the hoop to move freely as it is stitching.
Place the hoop on the machine. Align the needle with the target sticker. Trace the design to be sure it fits. Remove the sticker and embroider the design, changing colors as required.
Remove the finished design from machine and hoop. Remove any excess tear-away stabilizer and trim all thread tails.

Place the Perfect Placement Napkin On-point template on the napkin corner opposite the sewn-in label. Follow the alignment marks on the template for perfect placement. Slide a target sticker under the template*, aligning the crosshairs of the template and target sticker. Remove the template and repeat on all napkins.
*Newer versions of the Perfect Placement Kit feature a hole in the center of the crosshair to accommodate the target sticker. If you have this kit, just insert the target sticker into the hole, aligning the crosshairs.
