Monogrammed
gifts speak elegance because they are personalized. Your
family, friends and acquaintances are sure to cherish these
special gifts, created by you with thought and care.
When choosing your color palette,
make sure to consider the recipient. Male or female?
Athletic? Traditional? Do they like Old World lace or bright
southwestern colors? What would mesh with their personality,
spirit or personal taste?
Answer these questions and you're
ready to go. If it's time to spruce up your own home with
embroidered accents and accessories for every room, begin by
referring to your personal designer notebook. This notebook
should contain color cards, fabric swatches and detailed
ideas and inspirations divided into sections. One section
for every room, miscellaneous ideas filed in pockets. Keep
this notebook handy to take with you on shopping
expeditions, you'll be prepared to find the perfect fabric,
thread or ready-made items waiting for your own
personalization.

The large,
floral letters used on the pillowcases were made using the
Stacey font found in Alpha Pak 008 for the Monogram Wizard
Plus. Alpha Paks add more fonts and motifs to the Monogram
Wizard Plus. The outer letters on the pillowcase with a 3
letter monogram are written in the Victor font which is a
standard font in the Monogram Wizard Plus software. They
were each placed on a separate layer and the letter size was
adjusted to achieve the desired look.
The Tuxedo
font, from Alpha Pak 006, was used to create the letter. The
letter width was reduced to 75 to give the desired look.

The Coastal designs (from Alpha Pak 009) were used to make
the side motifs. The left hand motif (Coa 12) was put on
layer one.

Layer 2 was selected and the right hand motif (Coa 13) was
placed.

Layer 3 utilizes the Unders motif (Und 10) which is standard
within the Monogram Wizard Plus software.

The motif sizes were adjusted to the desired proportions
using the Motif Size adjustment in the Controls section. The
Design Adjustment arrows were used to move the motifs and
the letter into the desired position.
