Designs in Machine Embroidery is excited to announce the launch of Designs University, a unique online educational environment tailored to meet the inspirational and educational needs of embroiderers everywhere. Designs University will offer a full catalog of courses on every facet of machine embroidery including projects, techniques, machines, tools, software, and business; all quickly and easily navigated, click by click. Everyone from the novice to seasoned embroiderer will discover curriculum and reference materials designed to enlighten and challenge the specific interests of the dedicated embroiderer passionate about their craft.
The Instructors
Designs University is seeking qualified instructors and compelling content to feature on our site. This exciting opportunity offers tremendous visibility to our instructors. Our professional staff includes such industry experts as Eileen Roche, Nancy Zieman, Deborah Jones and Marie Zinno. Our instructor base will include authors, machine companies, educators, digitizers and others. The focus of the university is education.
The Curriculum
Classes and content do not have to be exclusive or unique to Designs University. While the focus of the university is education, training on specific products is also desirable. Classes may include video tutorials on embroidery projects and/or techniques with specific product requirements (i.e. Magna-Hoop, Place & Stitch, etc.). A class may be a taped webinar tutorial on a specific software program or digitizing technique. Machine specific video tutorials could include machines with features and benefits and guided lessons.
