I. The Library
The Library houses reference materials organized by section. Materials may consist of web pages, PDFs (downloadable), Power Point presentations and video. The library is free but does require a Student ID to access. All contributors will be credited for their reference contributions. Sections include:

II. Fine Arts
A. School of Embroidery Technique
The School of Embroidery Technique will focus on learning embroidery techniques in a standalone environment instead of part of a larger project. These courses should teach a single concept for the student looking for specific information on a topic. Most of these classes will be introductory in nature, although some may exceed the beginner levels. The format for these classes may be video tutorial, presentation software, taped webinar and/or PDF download. All contributors will be credited for their contributions by name, company, website and/or phone.
1. Embroidery Techniques
PDF or video tutorials on all types of embroidery techniques including: appliqué, monogramming, bobbin work, embroidering knits, etc.
2. Hooping techniques
PDF or video tutorials on how to hoop different items/fabrics including stabilizers and tools
3. File maintenance
4. downloading files
5. organizing
embroidery files (may be product specific, but not digitizing)
B. School of Design Application
The School of Design is comprised of classes that incorporate embroidery as part of the lesson as well as other aspects of instruction such as stabilizing, color selection, design placement, sewing, incorporating other tools or products and so much more. These classes are project based with an emphasis on education and may be product specific. The format for these classes may be video tutorial, presentation software, taped webinar, live webinar and/or PDF download. All contributors will be credited for their contributions by name, company, website and/or phone. Student fees for these classes may include instruction, designs, kits, products, etc.
1. Undergraduate Courses
Include single classes with beginner to intermediate projects (i.e. burp cloths, monogramming towels, pillow projects, etc.)
2. Graduate Courses
Include single classes with intermediate to advanced projects (i.e. Penelope T-shirt, Baja Bag, etc.)
3. Continuing Education
Includes multi-session projects (i.e. Latte Quilt, Mystery Quilt, Pretty Princess)
4. Guest instructor series
These classes will be organized by instructor and may be also located in other sections. This is a great opportunity for an instructor to promote their techniques, classes, books and products.
III. Engineering
A. School of Software
These courses are designed to teach the principles of digitizing and design file manipulations. Class formats could be taped webinars, live webinars or presentation program. Long classes may be broken up into a series, like Continuing Education in the Arts department. The format for these classes may be video tutorial, presentation software, taped webinar, live webinar and/or PDF download. All contributors will be credited for their contributions by name, company, website and/or phone.
1. General Studies
These classes include general information on digitizing and software options, editing designs, color sorting, sizing, etc. These classes will be offered free of charge.
2. Software Specific Studies
Classes organized by specific software platforms; may be beginner to advanced levels and topic oriented. Student fees may apply for these classes at the instructor’s discretion.
B. School of Machines
These courses are designed to teach a student how to buy, maintain and learn their specific machine. Class formats may include video, webinars, presentation software, PDF downloads (including workbooks and manuals). All contributors will be credited for their contributions by name, company, website and/or phone.

These classes will be organized by specific machine by manufacturer and teach the basics of operation and/or specific aspects of the machine. Student fees may apply for these classes at the instructor’s discretion.

IV.Business
The School of Business is comprised of classes that provide information for those embroiderers who want to take their hobby to the next level. Classes may include how to price embroidery, how to market your business, selecting commercial machines, digitizer references, etc. Business resources would include downloadable order forms, pricing sheets and much more.
V. Student Center
This area will focus on the students and will include pictures of student’s projects.
VI.Faculty Center
This area is dedicated to the instructors and may include bio’s, current projects, email, website links, etc.
In all classes, the instructor and/or company will receive a complete list of all registered students, feedback and questions. All videos will be hosted on Designs website.
